This special License and Lessons Pack, when combined with episodes 1-13 (sold separately), contains everything needed to bring the exciting Bible stories in Friends and Heroes Series 1 alive for your ministry, church or school.

This Upgrade Pack includes:

  • 26 weeks of lessons for churches, schools and children's ministries (ages 5-11) delivered by download or CD-ROM.
    (If download is chosen, instructions are delivered by email - usually within one working day.)

How the curriculum works:

Every lesson is made up of the following sections:
  • You begin with "Starting off" which includes
    ◦ Video segment
    ◦ Learning activity to involve the children in the lesson

  • Next, there's "In Deeper"
    Which leads the children deeper into the meaning and application of the lessons objective from the Bible story and accompanying adventure

  • Finally, you end with "Prayer Time"
    Which wraps the lesson up with an active, guided time to reinforce the learning objective and turn the children's hearts and minds toward what God is teaching them through the lesson

  • Each lesson also features "Extra, Extra!"
    This is a printable take-home sheet designed to reinforce what the kids have learned in that day's session

Each lesson also includes:

  • Leader's preparation guide
    • ◦ Learning objective
    ◦ List of required resources
    ◦ Story summary
    ◦ Preparation tips

  • Printable resources for activities and crafts

What does it cover?

Kids will learn to apply God’s truth from timeless Bible stories such as Daniel and the Lion’s Den, The Miraculous Catch of Fish, Ruth and Naomi, Saul on the Road to Damascus, and Jonah and the Big Fish.

This curriculum is clear for volunteers and adjustable for your class length . Our Church is bilingual, so it is great that Friends ans Heroes is multilingual. We will use the curriculum during summer and fall.

I am very excited to be using this curriculum with our Sunday School for the summer (SK-6)  The children seem to be really involved in the story.  I find there is more preparation for a lesson using this material than our usual curriculum, which might discourage some of the volunteers (who are giving the teachers a break).
